The second edition of the Ignatius Press RSV Bible has wider margins (a main complaint of ours about the first edition was the lack of margin space - we like to write margin notes!) and some improvements in the text flow. The translation remains solid, not falling into conciliation to feminist, humanist, or "ecumenical" rewordings. It strikes a nice balance between readability and authentic translation. I bought the first edition and put my Catholic Answers topic tabs in it. Now I wish I had the second edition instead - it's just a much more user friendly Bible.
